Dear Prayer Partners;
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Cor 9:8 This was the verse on our wedding invitation and the promise has been kept through the years of ministry. God has been gracious, providing every thing we needed to serve Him at Whitehall. He has been most gracious to us in providing us a home at Maranatha Village. Having never been to Florida, in January we came down for a mission’s conference and May 1st we moved down. In the meantime we sold our home, bought one here, and have joined Maranatha Baptist Church. We love the church and the preaching. Dr Webber speaks to the “choir” but each message has an application that we need. The music is awesome and so are the people! The only problem is trying to remember names and faces you see many times and put them together correctly. Folks tell us this is the best time of the year to come; we will be going through the same thing when the snow birds come back. We enjoy morning devotions each day from 8-9. There is Village dinners once a month and “Meet your Neighbor” monthly. On July 4th we had breakfast at Hammon Hall and met there again for a picnic supper because we were rained out of the Park.
We have had an armadillo that we had to discourage from making his home under our home and he was persistent. Last night 7/8 Bruce took this picture not more than 50 feet from our home. This is the second batch of chicks this year.
I have met at new friend who was a missionary in Peru and we have enjoyed each others company at the pool. Of course we keep close contact with the Bishops. Doris is doing very well after her surgery; Bernie needs prayer out find out what is causing his problem. There are many opportunities for service. Bruce has spoken at a nursing home and had morning devotions, and helped with sound. He has enjoyed fishing, I love hanging my clothes out, listening to the bull frogs croak in the lake behind us, whoops … no it is alligators grunting. We run around the village in our golf cart and even go to church in it. We are so grateful to God for His provision. We are open to any way we can serve the Lord here. We want to abound to a “good work” that we will hear Him say that we were faithful.
